Volunteer Driver Schemes
Many of the voluntary driver schemes in Oxfordshire have suspended their services due to Covid-19. Often, many of their voluntary drivers are older people who are staying home to protect themselves. This will certainly change in the coming months as the government progressively lifts restrictions.
The Oxfordshire Community Transport Directory offers a list of community transport providers.
Note that most of them are not providing transport at the moment.
The Live Well service directory also lists community transport providers across Oxfordshire.
The South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust also offers a list of alternative transport services available across Oxfordshire.
If you would like information on joining a transport scheme as a volunteer, please contact Oxfordshire Rural Community Council on the following email orcc@oxonrcc.org.uk or by phone on 01865 883488.
