We believe that strong leadership needs to come from every area of the voluntary sector, and reflect the leadership we see from individuals and local communities.

What we believe about leadership

One thing that coronavirus has demonstrated is the opportunity for organisations to show true leadership by putting aside their vested interests and achieving a greater impact together, even if that means transforming their work.

This requires leadership at all levels, and particularly in our trustee boards and senior management teams. We have to hold ourselves more accountable to communities, be brave, open, and honest with our ideas even where they might invite criticism, and put our vested interests to one side.

Our work on Leadership

We are working to support excellent leadership in the voluntary sector, with a focus on engaging with trustees and senior management. Please join one of our regular weekly Friday meetings to play an active role yourself.
